Policy Statement

Modern slavery is a criminal offence and a serious violation of fundamental human rights. It includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking all of which involve the exploitation of individuals for personal or commercial gain.

A-Security Solutions Ltd operates a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to conducting all business activities ethically, with integrity, and with robust systems and controls in place to prevent modern slavery within our organisation and supply chains.

We are also committed to maintaining transparency in line with our obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Scope of the Policy

This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of A-Security Solutions Ltd, including:

  • Employees at all levels
  • Directors and officers
  • Agency workers and seconded staff
  • Volunteers and interns
  • Contractors, consultants, and suppliers
  • Third-party representatives and business partners

This policy does not form part of any employment contract and may be updated at any time.

Our Commitments

We commit to:

  • Acting with integrity in all business relationships
  • Implementing effective systems to prevent modern slavery
  • Ensuring transparency across our operations and supply chains
  • Working only with suppliers who share our ethical standards

We expect all contractors, suppliers, and partners to:

  • Prohibit the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour
  • Ensure no individual is held in slavery or servitude
  • Apply the same standards within their own supply chains

Responsibility for the Policy

A-Security Solutions Ltd has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations under this policy.

Day-to-day responsibility includes:

  • Implementing and monitoring the policy
  • Responding to queries and concerns
  • Auditing internal controls and procedures

Management at all levels must:

  • Ensure team members understand and comply with this policy
  • Provide appropriate training and awareness
  • Promote ethical practices within their teams

Feedback and suggestions for improvement are encouraged and should be directed to the Managing Director.

Compliance

All individuals must:

  • Read, understand, and comply with this policy
  • Avoid any activity that may lead to or suggest a breach
  • Report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery immediately

Concerns should be raised with:

  • A line manager, or
  • A company Director, or
  • Through the Whistleblowing Policy (where applicable)

Reporting Concerns

We encourage early reporting of any concerns related to modern slavery within our business or supply chains.

Where appropriate, we will:

  • Support and guide suppliers in addressing unethical practices
  • Prioritise the safety and welfare of affected individuals

If unsure whether a situation constitutes modern slavery, you should seek guidance from management.

Protection for Whistleblowers

We are committed to fostering a culture of openness and accountability.

Any individual who raises a genuine concern in good faith will be:

  • Supported and protected
  • Free from retaliation or detrimental treatment

Detrimental treatment includes dismissal, disciplinary action, or any unfavourable treatment resulting from raising a concern.

Any such treatment should be reported immediately and will be addressed in line with our grievance procedures.

Training and Awareness

  • Training on modern slavery risks forms part of the induction process
  • Ongoing awareness is maintained through internal communications
  • Our zero-tolerance stance is communicated to all suppliers and partners at the start of business relationships

Breaches of this Policy

Any breach of this policy will be treated seriously:

  • Employees may face disciplinary action, including dismissal
  • Contracts with third parties may be terminated immediately
